We received word this morning of a last-minute, yet VERY IMPORTANT meeting regarding West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. With the Board of Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) set to soon vote on what they wish to do with WLMH, residents need to be loud and clear we want to keep our hospital.

While the agenda was sparse, the air was dense as people waited with baited breaths to hear and speak to the updated report on the 4/5 storey Century Condos development downtown.
Remember No More Than Four? Century Condos (6 Doran & 21-23 Main Street) is back for another kick at the Planning can this coming Tuesday (October 9th) with an open-microphone public meeting. After reading some of the reports on the project, it will be a very interesting meeting.
In case you missed it, the Region recently put out a public notice that they are holding a public meeting on our current Regional Official Plan, and the new one targeted for completion in 2021. This is your chance to offer comments or ask questions of our regional officials and provide input as to what the near and not-so-near future of Niagara looks like.
This weeks Planning & Development Committee will be another very important meeting as the agenda will feature the revised GO Train Station Secondary Plan. If you showed up for the first meeting in December, we encourage you to attend… if you didn’t make the first meeting in December, we definitely encourage you to attend!
Residents in the West End of Winston Road recently received notice of a “Public Open House” regarding a proposed subdivision at 709-721 Winston Road. The proposed development calls for a rezoning with a combination of 8 detached dwellings along Winston Road and 28 condominium townhouses abutting the rear of those properties, with access from the North Service Road
As we previously posted, The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care held it’s public meeting on June 19th regarding the potential closure and move of 50 LTC spots to Hamilton. Residents turned up to voice protest and support for keeping the beds here in Grimsby.

There will be a “Public Information Centre” in Grimsby on June 22, 2017 concerning the Niagara GO Hub & Transit Study.
The session will be held at Grimsby Town Hall (Council Chambers) at 160 Livingston Avenue from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM, with a presentation at 6:30 PM.
