The Auditor General in her examination of two proposed GO stations concluded that “Metrolinx inappropriately recommended the province build them under pressure from the former transportation minister and the City of Toronto”.
The Auditor General’s report on the audit of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority was tabled a short time ago at Queen’s Park and is now available on the AG’s site. Not surprisingly, the AG found that there is some serious issues with that organization.
It will be an interesting week at Queen’s Park (and the Region) as the Auditor General is tabling it’s report on the audit of the Niagara Peninsula Conversation Authority.
It appears that the OPP has cleared the NPCA of any “criminal” wrongdoing after investigating allegations of such, but that doesn’t mean the storm has passed for the agency that seems to have little trouble attracting controversy.
It was a packed an almost empty house at Council this past Monday, on both sides of the podium. For those who weren’t there, as usual we have the notes.

With Mayor Bentley absent for Council, Alderman Joanne Johnston took the reins as Deputy Mayor chairing the meeting. The agenda was light, but the energy perked up when the Public Works meeting minutes were put forward for approval.
