The applicants, 2588732 Ontario Ltd., as part of their application are asking for Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments to permit their proposal.

It was an early 5PM start for the Special Council meeting, mainly for 314 Main St. E., that was rescheduled from last week. Despite the dinner hour, the delegations representing the residents of Lawrence Avenue and the developer (Branthaven) were ready, willing and able to put their best points forward to Council.

The latest issue of NewsNow, which should be hitting your mailbox in the next day or so, has rolled out a feature article and editorial on the recent approval by the Committee of Adjustment for a large-scale medical marijuana facility close to homes and the YMCA. The rather clandestine attempt to push this through is a real eye opener.
There is a last-minute meeting of the Committee of Adjustment on July 6th at 4PM at Town Hall, 160 Livingston Avenue.
This special meeting of the CoA will re-hear an application of 1834439 Ontario Inc. who have partnered with Aleafia Farms Inc. to convert the 160,000 sq ft greenhouses at 378 South Service Road into a licensed production facility for medical marijuana.
