Following up on our earlier post on the Regional CAO “Back Room Dealing” as investigated by the St. Catharine’s Standard, the good folks over at A Better Niagara penned their opinion on the “investigation” that was initiated by Regional Council.
Seeing as the firm tasked with investigating this matter already has a business relationship with the Region, one might ask why an independent body at arm’s length was not brought in.
A Better Niagara posited:
“This is not openness and transparency, this is a joke, and anyone who was at the meeting or watches it online can see that. Watch how Quirk, Annunziata, Barrick and others try to/do water down the original motion’s language and reporting authority. The cabal was very effective.”
