Heritage was front and centre on the agenda of Monday night’s Committee of the Whole meeting. Specifically the discussion revolved around the Main Street East area and a proposed Heritage Conservation District Study.
A delegation and presentation from SaveMainStreet presented their views and support for the study to the Members of Council.
During the Council disucssion, both sides of the question raised valid points on the merits of the study, possible drawbacks and other options. You can review the long but spirited discussion at the GCFRG Facebook archive or at the Town’s archive of the meeting.
