Here is the first in our series of candidate profiles sprinkled in with some questions relating to planning and development and growth in Grimsby. All Ward and Mayoral candidates were emailed a short questionnaire last week and sent a “last call” reminder email before the deadline. Each day will feature one of Grimsby’s four municipal wards, with answers from the Mayoral candidates as a wrap on the series.

We received a Facebook message yesterday from a resident asking about GCFRG candidate debates, well there are none. But after some asking around we did find out that a few local residents have organized Ward “Q&A” sessions.

Nominations for October 24’s municipal election officially closed at 2PM today at Town Hall. By the way the list grew, it certainly looks like the Chief Election Official at the Town certainly had their work cut out for them today.
