Queen’s Park has published it’s annual Public Sector Salary Disclosure, better known as “The Sunshine List” for 2020. Last year saw 19 Town of Grimsby employees making over $100,000, up from 13 employees in 2019.
2020 Sunshine List employees earned a total of $2.37 million last year, including taxable benefits, compared to $1.53 million in 2019. Some of the 2020 earners include former Town employees who may have been “packaged out” as part of a streamlining of operations.
The Town’s top bureaucrat and Council’s only employee, CAO Harry Schlange, pulled down $221,636.45 in his first full year (2020) in Grimsby. He additionally received $335,531.81 from Brampton in 2020, despite having “parted ways” in December 2018. If you aren’t keeping track that is $557,168.26 for 2020… not a bad haul!
