The Council agenda was pretty bare again this week with just a few crumbs thrown in for good measure … here’s the agenda and our notes:
The new year starts off with two committee meetings this week, Admin & Finance and Planning & Development. The content may not be meaty, but there are always a few good tidbits hiding in these meetings.
For those who followed our last Committee of Adjustment posts on 52 Garden Drive at this link, you might recall that the Town appealed the COA’s decision to the OMB. A hearing on the matter was held on September 26, 2017 at Town Hall. Not surprisingly, the applicants were a “no show” but the hearing proceeded on accordingly.
We hope that everyone managed to enjoy the unseasonable (in a good sense) weather we had this past weekend. While it may have felt like summer, it is definitely fall and the Planning & Development Agenda for this Tuesday’s meeting is an extensive buffet of items.

It should come as no surprise to those who drive along the QEW even on an irregular basis or those who follow our posts, that the first phase of LJM’s “Waterview Condominums” has been declared as “delayed”.
We just wanted to post a quick reminder of the OMB Pre-Hearing on LJM’s Waterview Condominiums Phase II. The Pre-Hearing will commence tomorrow (Wednesday July 5th, 2017) at Grimsby Town Hall (Council Chambers) at 10:00 AM.
As Council will be taking a break for a month (next meeting is July 17th) there seemed to be a lot of ground covered and a packed audience to go along with the proceedings. The agenda and following discussions were definitely a mixed bag of treats.
After our previous “Buyer Beware” article here, we decided to continue the series after seeing an announcement on the “Tower Residences” (Floors 10-15) at LJM’s Waterview development.
