With the Town moving away from the Committee of the Whole governance system and re-establishing Standing Committees, opportunities have re-opened for residents to be an active part of the municipal decision-making process through committee membership.
The Town will host an “open house” on the evening of February 15th from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM at Town Hall so you can review and/or ask questions about the various committees/boards and positions available.
Among the committees and boards that will have opening for residents:
- Active Grimsby Advisory Committee
- Committee of Adjustment
- Grimsby Economic Development Committee
- Culture Advisory Committee
- Age Friendly Advisory Committee
- Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee
- Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee (JAAC)
- Grimsby Green Advisory Committee
- Grimsby Public Library Board
- Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC)
- Finance Standing Committee
- Public Works Standing Committee
- Community Services Standing Committee
- Planning and Development Standing Committee
