With the Town moving away from the Committee of the Whole governance system and re-establishing Standing Committees, opportunities have re-opened for residents to be an active part of the municipal decision-making process through committee membership.

The Town will host an “open house” on the evening of February 15th from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM at Town Hall so you can review and/or ask questions about the various committees/boards and positions available.

Among the committees and boards that will have opening for residents:

  • Active Grimsby Advisory Committee
  • Committee of Adjustment
  • Grimsby Economic Development Committee
  • Culture Advisory Committee
  • Age Friendly Advisory Committee
  • Heritage Grimsby Advisory Committee
  • Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee (JAAC)
  • Grimsby Green Advisory Committee
  • Grimsby Public Library Board
  • Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC)
  • Finance Standing Committee
  • Public Works Standing Committee
  • Community Services Standing Committee
  • Planning and Development Standing Committee
