As the next step in the Grimsby Beach “Land Use Planning Study”, the Town will be hosting a “webinar” on October 26, 2021 at 6PM. Ahead of this webinar, the Town has posted documents including the consultant’s draft report recommending a “Secondary Plan” and not a “Heritage Conservation District”.

The Town is hosting a “virtual open house” tonight (September 24) at 6PM for the proposed development on the Casablanca Winery Inn lands.
The deadline to register to speak at the Zoom meeting has passed, but you can watch the livestream on the GCFRG Facebook live page by clicking this link here or the Town’s live stream at: https://vimeo.com/grimsbycouncilchambers

You can find background material on this development on the Town’s “Current Planning Applications” under the “4 Windward” Tab:

The Town of Grimsby contracted SGL Planning to design the framework in the Winston Neighbourhood and released it as an Urban Design Manual.
Interesting read on how Hamilton has a principled approach to development. Proper checks and balances help avoid a “feeding frenzy” when it comes to growth.
