With most of the Committees wrapped up for this term of Council, it’s been a little slower than usual on the news front. But we did have a *very* interesting P&D meeting on Tuesday with the proposed Century Condos downtown being the highlight. And of course we have the notes for your review…
With so much happening with West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in recent weeks, we thought we would consolidate a few items that just came in into one post. Needless to say, the public is now clearly engaged and full of fire in order to protect our hospital.
If you have not seen the signs yet, Casablanca Boulevard will be closed between Livingston and the South Service Road from November 14-21, 2018 to facilitate CN performing railway crossing work. Through traffic will be re-routed along Livingston and the SSR.
While the fight to Save and rebuild WLMH is most definitely “on”, today’s Hamilton Spectator has an interesting editorial about HHS and WLMH saying that “Grimsby’s outrage is understandable”.

After a claimed “mistake” in posting the public notice sign for October 9th meeting on the proposed Century Condos project downtown, the makeup second public meeting for this development is being held this coming Tuesday, November 13th @ 7PM at Town Hall.
If you are not on the Metrolinx mailing list for GO Train Niagara Expansion, then you probably missed their recent announcement that they are re-scheduling their public meetings.
Just a quick reminder that the Region will be hosting an “open house” event at the Casablanca Winery Inn on Thursday, November 8th from 5:30PM – 7PM.

The “Save WLMH” Facebook page posted the above update to bring the community up to speed on what has occurred in regards to WLMH over the past week.
